Deformation of solid bodies

In Volume 6 we present a natural state theory for the deformation of solid bodies.

For small elastic deformations the model of an isotropic solid may be completed with an internal energy function containing besides the initial pressure, temperature and density, the specific heat, the coefficient of cubic thermal expansion, the bulk modulus and the shear modulus.

A finite element representation of thermo mechanics is used to simulate deformation of a body in combination with heat conduction.
